Today, carriage houses are often designed to blend in with the architectural style and features of the main house, while also offering modern amenities and customization options. Carriage houses make up some of New York’s most stunning and unique historic properties. New Yorkers began building them in the late 18th century to store horses and carriages, the only real means of transportation on the city’s craggy cobblestone streets.

There is even a Build Small, Live Large ADU tour so people can learn more about the ADUs, their homeowners, builders, and designers. Rural carriage houses were often built on sprawling estates, so they could be quite large and more elaborate. The structures could be big enough to house more than one carriage and all of the related equipment. In the case of wealthier homeowners, carriage houses included stables for the horses and many had second-story living quarters that had enough space to accommodate an entire house staff. This carriage house, designed by venerated architect Atlee Ayres, got a second life in the 1960s when it was converted into living quarters for the aging owner of the main house on the property. Today, the residence plays host to Airbnb travelers enjoying the sights of San Antonio.

This prevents homeowners from needing to park a second vehicle outside leaving it vulnerable to the elements, storm damage, fallen trees and bird droppings. In 2020, the state of California lifted many code restrictions on building ADUs, including carriage houses, to respond to the state’s housing crisis. After the new bill, homeowner associations (HOAs) could no longer deny the construction of ADUs on properties, a right they had before. For example, if the main house was built in the Victorian style, the carriage house would often have a steep roof, dormer windows, stained glass, and scrollwork near the eaves. Most carriage houses were two-story structures with a center doorway that was tall and wide enough to provide drivers ample room to maneuver the horse-drawn carriages in and out of the structure.

The Carriage House

Indoors, the bedroom decor playfully nods at the structure’s lakeshore location. Dusty pink with forest green accents is an unconventional colorway for the façade of a house. But when it came to a New Orleans Victorian renovation, those are just the hues that Samantha Wetton and Alexandra Neu of Los Angeles–based Lafayette Studio decided were best. In a place like New Orleans, where vibrant architecture is a visible language, their choice “speaks to the playfulness the city has to offer,” Wetton says. Carriage houses offer the historical charm of the past and the contemporary conveniences of today. Carriage houses were typically built as independent outbuildings, i.e. a building that stands alone from a larger house.

Unlike the typical condo, the owner of the carriage home also owns the land it sits on. The lot is usually only slightly larger than the footprint of the home, typically referred to as a “zero lot line” home. This was an architectural period that began in 1837 and lasted until the early 1900s, although Victorian architecture was most prevalent from 1860 to 1900.

But the true mansions of their era may have had carriage houses with stunning intricacy and superfluous details such as a belvedere – a small, many-windowed room atop a building meant for taking in a scenic view. Take the time to work with a designer who considers your needs in order to make sure you’re getting the perfect result.

Most carriage houses in cities had small and simple designs because they typically weren’t built on large lots. They usually were only big enough to hold one carriage and the related equipment, but didn’t include living space for the driver. With the development and subsequent popularity of motorized carriages and automobiles in the 1900s, horse-drawn carriages naturally fell out of favor. Homeowners started converting carriage houses into garages and the structures became more commonplace dwellings for house drivers and for staff members, if a lofted living space was available.

Lilith has become an architect and now has her own harpy form, and Amity is proficient in Abomination engineering. Bump has retired from being the principal of Hexside and has taken on gardening, while Alador, Darius, Eberwolf, and Raine work to remove all the coven sigils. As for Eda, she has opened her own school, the University of Wild Magic, where Gus teaches the culture of the Human Realm and where Luz will be attending.

Storyline

Luz then remembers the message from the Titan and whispers it to King, "I loaf you", prompting King to laugh at the pun. The three then laugh together, and relax having managed to do alright through everything. "Watching and Dreaming" is the third and final episode of the third season of The Owl House, and the forty-third episode overall, serving as the finale of the series. The episode will be available on Disney’s official YouTube channel four hours after it’s aired on cable. Watching And Dreaming textless ending scene

It turns out that The Archivists tricked The Collector into going to the Boiling Isles and playing with the baby Titans. They were very welcoming to The Collector, but The Archivists were afraid of The Titan’s power and eliminated them one by one. This caused the last Titan, who we know to be King’s dad, to hide King, and, thinking they were like The Archivists, trap The Collector in the in-between realm. We start “Watching and Dreaming” right where we left off at the end of “For the Future,” with the Hexsquad and Camila making it to the Skull on their way to face The Collector and rescue Eda, King, and the others.

Immediately when they arrive, all but Luz are captured and turned into puppets by The Collector, who then puts Luz to sleep. The first thing she’s somewhat aware of is reaching out to a portal and a voice telling her to wake up. Unfortunately, she doesn’t remember this short moment and soon wakes up in a nightmare scenario where she is Belos. Unlike the previous two specials that made up this season, the finale is less introspective. Luz has spent the past two episodes looking inward, forgiving herself for her past mistakes and learning what she really wants.

The kids look to see it is from the Collector holding the house steady, to their surprise. Outside the Archive House, Luz, Eda, and King bring the Collector to the Owl House, the place where their friendship began. The Collector scoffs at first about how easy they connected; in response, Luz shows the Collector memory photos of all the obstacles she faced and the people she met, who helped her grow and learn. Noticing one photo of Luz and her friends playing grudgby, the Collector asks to see the game for himself. They fly to Hexside's grudgby field, where Luz explains the game rules to the Collector.

Belos sends a blast of blue magic toward The Collector, but it’s not them who he hits. There’s even a time skip epilogue that indulges a lot of fun character moments. But it’s not just pure fan service (even though, some of it kinda is). Showing us that these characters still mean something to each other after time has passed really resonates.

Well, apparently, calling him Dad isn’t entirely accurate, as they quote King by saying, “I am king and queen, best of both things! ” But they also say, “but Dad works fine,” so this is how I will be addressing them. More specifically, she sacrifices herself to save the Collector, after Belos has fully possessed the dead body of the Titan and is infecting everything and everyone with some fungus-like growth out of The Last of Us. As the mushroom growth consumes her, she looks wide-eyed at King and Eda and confesses that she doesn’t know what to say. And then she’s gone, all that’s left of her some little orbs of light that float around the Boiling Isles, visiting all of the other characters.

It’s this that tells Belos what he should do next, and, after distracting The Collector with the idea of playing with the trio in person, he leaves for the castle and the heart of The Titan. Luz reappears in a new part-Titan form, saving Eda, King, and the Collector. As Belos assumes control of the island and begins to move, the Collector flies off to help protect the Archive House with Amity, Gus, Willow, Hunter and Camilla. The remaining three rescue Raine inside Belos' castle, and all four advance on the Titan's heart. An enraged Luz rips Belos out, causing his corruption to disintegrate and healing the land. A melting Belos begs for mercy from Luz, who silently watches Eda, Raine, and King stomp out his remains, killing him once and for all.

The Titan's eye lights up blue, and they realize that it's Belos. Luz flies through the castle until entering a forested area reminiscent of the mindscape, where she finds Willow. When Luz thinks she has gotten away, the area suddenly blackens, a spotlight shines upon Luz. She finds herself on the Hexside gymnasium stage, to an audience of the school's students and faculty. He then calls Luz a hypocrite for keeping him from seeing his dad despite everyone helping her get back to her mom, prompting boos from the audience. Luz swears she will help him find Perry, only for Gus to push her off the stage.

Luz confesses one last anxiety — that she’s no better than Belos in her desire to protect her friends. It’s the last metaphorical hurdle she needs to vault over, one last insecurity to reflect upon, before she can pick herself up again and fight. With only an abridged season 3 to wrap up its story, The Owl House was only expected to do so much. As such a plot-heavy show — a rarity for Disney Channel — it seemed impossible that The Owl House could pull off what it set out to do, when dealt such a shitty hand.

Just like back in early season one, such a good ending to that portion of the story! After this, Luz narrates, and we see the immediate aftermath of and recovery of The Boiling Isles and its people. We then see The Collector attempt to give Francois back to King, but he declines and allows them to keep the rabbit. We then learn through Luz’s narration that, though The Collector has decided to return to space, King hopes to see him again one day. One of the most important things we learn, though, comes after this, when Luz walks outside, glyph in and, and taps it.

Before she can depart from the realm, the Titan warns Luz that his power will not last long, and she will have to defeat Belos fast, however Luz asks him if there is anything she can say to King for him. The Titan whispers a message into her ear, to which Luz excitedly remarks he will love it. Looking back at the Titan, she sees the Titan has assumed his full skeletal form and slowly sinks into the void, saying goodbye to Luz before it fully disappears. We come back to Luz, King, and Eda attempting to catch up on everything that’s happened since their separation. Soon The Collector appears, questioning King on why he would choose to play with these “spiders” instead of him.

Tropes in this episode include:

The Collector then dismisses her question and puts the three of them into more games, during all of which they manage to mildly hurt them, making them end the games and cry in the corner of the floating cube. Here Luz starts a conversation with them, and they express to Luz their want of friends who won’t lie or trick them, like King, Belos, and even their own siblings had. This leads The Collector to explain their backstory to the trio. Upon returning to the Boiling Isles, Camila and Vee surprise Luz with a belated quinceañera in the style of the Isles.

Storyboards

Everyone she knows, including her friends, are turned to stone. Her friends attack her, blaming her for the situation, but Luz realizes they are not real. She learns that the Collector has taken them and is playing games to keep her away from Eda and King. To save everyone, Luz has to wake up by "turning on the light." Amity hands her a light glyph, which she uses to wake up and help Eda and King wake up too. "Watching and Dreaming" is the series finale of the American animated television series The Owl House. The episode served as the third and final episode of the third season, and the 43rd episode of the series overall.

Animation Production by

Belos reaches the heart and begins spreading his control throughout The Isles. Meanwhile, Amity, who we saw slightly move her hand in an earlier scene, draws a light glyph on the floor of The Archives, awakening herself and the others, minus Camila, who hangs on a wall nearby. From the atmosphere, Luz, Eda, and King view the Boiling Isles slowly rising up. When Eda ponders how they can stop Belos, Luz reminds Eda of the source of magic- the heart, to which Eda beams proudly. Inside the castle, Raine is stuck inside of the fungus, their glasses laying out of reach on the ground. They hear someone approach and panic, unable to see, until their glasses are returned, subsequently revealing Eda to them.

The Owl House delivers one final, perfect emotional gut punch

Truly afraid, the Collector apologizes and shows empathy, causing him to cry for the first time over the chaos he has created and reacts in confusion to the tears he is producing. The Collector tries in vain to brush it off before Belos then slams the three of them with his hand. However, a purple light blasts through it and the three find themselves unharmed.

In the episode, Luz, after reuniting with Eda and King, manages to befriend the Collector and stop Belos from destroying the Boiling Isles. At the same time, the puppet Amity finishes etching a crude light glyph on the ground, with its activation breaking the puppet spell on Amity, Gus, Hunter, and Willow. The kids notice other puppet victims, among which include Lilith and Camila, whom Gus attempts to free. However, Amity pauses for a moment, as she realizes Luz is not there with them. After this, we return to Luz, Eda, and King showing The Collector their story. At each of these places, The Collector is proven wrong by the trio about something he believed regarding friendship and people in general.

Storyboard by

She bursts through her office door, twirling her staff and wearing a new awesome outfit, just like all the other characters. Belos has unleashed a deadly forest of mold that quickly spreads across the Isles. Luz, Eda, King, and the Collector make it to Belos' castle, which has now been transformed into a giant monster by the mold.

What is also a very good use of time is the start of the final battle. My main issue with the beginning of the finale has nothing to do with the finale itself. Since most of the trailer is the first few minutes of the episode, along with the fact that, as the audience, we know that Luz, Eda, and King are asleep, it seems to go very quickly. Although I don’t have any proof, I believe if I hadn’t seen the trailer, although it wouldn’t change the latter issue, it may have made the pacing feel better, as everything would be new.

Episode information

I also LOVED what Belos shouts after taking control of The Titan and how Matthew Rhys read it. Apparently, it was the last thing he read, as he wanted to put his all into the line and didn’t want to throw out his voice before his final scene. To the horror of everyone on The Boiling Isles, gray fungus-like flesh starts quickly covering everything in Bonesborough, as if chasing the residents. Belos is taking over The Titan, growing an enormous monster form out of the flesh, with which he begins blasting the Isles with magic.

Meanwhile, the Collector was trapped by the Titan who mistook him for an enemy. Especially after dealing with Belos and the Titan Trappers, now that he finally has a Titan as his friend, he wants to keep King with him forever, even if he has to pretend they are friends. Taking sympathy on the child entity, Luz tells the Collector that she, Eda, and King know what it is like to be alone and misunderstood. Luz offers to show him how they became friends, starting with giving him pictures of the trio and telling him stories of their adventures.

the owl house watching and dreaming

They see the Archive House is collapsing with everyone inside. Inspired by Luz's determination, the Collector leaves to use his limited powers to help them while the trio make their way to Belos. As the battle rages on, the light particle settles down to the water of the In Between Realm. The particle forms into Luz's spirit, and she begins to sink into a dark void, thinking about how she should have thanked her friends instead of a short goodbye. What Luz sees in front of her is an old Titan resembling King with a small Hooty head sticking out of its eye.

The Titan senses he does not have much time left, so he has decided to give Luz the last amount of his power to Luz as thanks for taking care of King. Hesitant at first, Luz asks the Titan if he is sure about giving his remaining life. The Titan assures he is, since she is the only one here and seems to be a good witch, but she's the one who has to choose to accept it, reaching out his hand to her as he asks her if she will choose. A glowing orb appears around Luz, and she is lifted into the air.

This beam is what the group is hiding from when they arrive at the castle. After realizing that Belos got to The Titan’s heart by possessing Raine, The Collector, with kindness and forgiveness in their mind after their conversation with Luz, flies up to Belos. The Collector doesn’t realize that there’s no talking Belos down. Just like Luz when she first arrived on the Isles, they assume that everyone can be reasoned with, but they’re wrong.

That’s what makes what Gus and Hunter say to Luz nightmare-like. Luz, Eda, and King take the Collector to the Owl House, the place where their friendship began. They reminisce about their initial struggles of fitting in and how they decided to not fit in together. Luz shows the Collector memory photos of all the challenges she faced and the new friends she made.

Luz doesn’t let her lack of magical abilities stop her from becoming Eda’s apprentice to pursue her dream of becoming a witch, and her adventures will lead her to finding a new family along the way. Four years later, Luz is heading off to college on the Boiling Isles and is excited to see her friends again. Camila and Vee are also moving into the abandoned house in the woods, which now has a new portal to the Demon Realm created by the Collector. Willow is now a professional Flyer Derby player, while Hunter has become a Palisman carver and has a new one named Waffles.

To save everyone, Luz has to wake up by "turning on the light." Amity hands her a light glyph before the kids are turned into puppets once more and pulled away. Instead, we’re back in the Archives with the other kids and Camila, who has finally awoken from her puppet state. Suddenly, the ground rumbles, and Amity tries to use her magic, but instead, she ends up covered in Abomination goo. Camila comforts her by telling her and all the other kids that they’re exhausted and that they haven’t slept in days.

John Travolta can't sell his Maine mansion

John Travolta’s house is located in Ocala, Florida, a short hour and a half drive outside of Orlando. The home is located in the Jumbolair Aviation Estate, which is a residential airpark. Along with his stunning wife Kelly Preston, the pair was one of the first couples to ever purchase land on the air estate. The 18th-century Spanish farmhouse, owned by the TAG Group, stands on the California coast in Santa Barbara is appraised at $110 million. Although John Travolta and Kelly Preston had just one child at the time they did their decorating, baby Jett would eventually be joined by siblings Ella and Benjamin. (Tragically, Jett never met his little brother, having passed away before his youngest sibling's birth). You can only imagine how much fun the kids had in what their dad once called a "children's fantasy-land!" While it's sad that the time has come for Travolta to move on, it's to be hoped that his magical Maine home will soon be enchanting a new generation of residents. Curved window walls define the great room, which looks onto the tarmac. “Michael Eisner was our first dinner guest,” says Travolta, a seasoned pilot and owner of two jets.

Of The Most Beautiful Dream Homes According To This Group

However, should sunlight be desired- there is more than enough unimpeded glass to admit it. It is constructed from clay and is formed with tastefully ornate molding-like stylization around the mouth, the mantle, and the edges. A small glass table stands in front of the curvaceous couch with nothing on it, apparently ready for any occasion. In the primary bedroom, textures, fabrics, and colors are as bright and shining- while simultaneously low-light- as a brass oil lamp. A couch with unusually voluptuous curves stands across the room from the bed. Travolta obtained part of the 3,500-acre plot of land in 1988 and has vowed to help keep it true to its original Spanish style.

There's a formal living room with a green marble fireplace and numerous windows that let light flood in. A cozy library with wooden built-in bookshelves and doors to the backyard can be found on the other side of the foyer. There’s also a great room complete with wet bar and temperature-controlled wine closet, a dining room with room for 12, a home office, a gym, a chef’s kitchen with top-of-the-line Viking appliances, and a sunny breakfast nook. Upstairs in the master suite is a fireplace, a balcony that peers down to the lower floor, dual closets, and a spacious bathroom. However, some people may be wondering why his home looks so different from the other homes in the neighborhood. While many celebrities live in luxurious mansions, John Travolta lives in a simple home that is designed to look like an airport.

The Golden Globe winner resides in the midcentury house in the Ocala area with their two kids, Ella and Ben. The residence features five bedrooms, five-and-a-half bathrooms, spacious living areas and a luxurious backyard fitted with a pool. "I didn't audition for the part of Vincent but I spent almost 24 hours with Quentin initially," he explained.

Christmas 2019 by the fireplace

The massive property is reached by a winding, tree-covered drive and includes a 10,830-square-foot main house on four lots, with 48 acres of oceanfront property. The actor, John Travolta, is probably best known for his role in the uniquely stylishly written and directed Quentin Tarantino film, Pulp Fiction. Of course, he got his auspicious start as the quarrelsome young man in Saturday Night Fever, in which he made a great fuss about his hair being touched. But, if Travolta is known for one thing, it’s the iconic image of him in a white suit with a V-neck collar pointing toward the sky in the throws of a disco dance move. The half-acre parcel boasts lush landscaping, numerous outdoor living spaces, a covered patio with an outdoor fireplace, a dining terrace, a pool, a spa, and a gazebo. And the unobstructed mountain views from the backyard are breathtaking.

Travolta even flew a host of Scientologist volunteers and doctors to Haiti as part of a relief effort in 2010 following the deadly earthquake. The kitchen is decked out in classic dark wood and is very contemporary looking.

Her blog is currently in progress but give her a follow on Instagram @emmaaafarrow to keep up with her latest happenings. John has been caught up in numerous scandalous stories over the years that have tied him to several gay affair allegations. Back in 2006, John was caught by paparazzi kissing his children’s male nanny, Jeff Kathrein, on the lips before he boarded an airplane. Anyway, John dismissed the outrageous claim that he was a) gay and b) having an affair, saying that that was how he would greet any friend of his. I know what you’re thinking, out of John Travolta’s price range, really?

The Floridian property was purchased at $3.5 million dollars in 2001. The house is located within a fly-in community spanning around 550 acres in the town of Anthony, north of Ocala. John Travolta’s intention to live in an aviation-inspired design was embraced in this area, famously home to more plane and flight aficionados. The home features a 16-car garage, 5 bedrooms with 7 bathrooms, a pool completed by a bar and indoor cabana, and a private control center. The famed star of such classics as Grease, Saturday Night Fever, and Battlefield Earth owns others homes too, some of them also located in Florida, but only Ocala is so eccentrically and spectacularly aeronautical in design and function. Get whisked away to Hollywood legend John Travolta's authentic airport estate near Ocala, Florida.

The entryway is garlanded by two large, solid columns, preceded by the typical Floridian palm trees. And to add to the seriousness of the theme, several flag posts are present. The estate was originally built by aviation enthusiast and software developer Dean Butler. When he died in a plane crash in 1995, the property was sold to Travolta. Completed in 2003, just two years after purchasing the home, Travolta would move in. "It was always John's dream to have planes in his front yard—to practically be able to pull up to the house—so that when you wanted to go to dinner, all you'd have to do was step out the door, get on the plane and whisk off," Kelly said.

The mansion features tall windows to view Travolta's personal airstrip, a spacious living room, a dining area, a 16 car garage converted into a fitness center, a games room with a billiards pool table and a wet bar, and many more. John Travolta is considered one of the best stars in Hollywood over the past several decades. John Travolta photos create a remarkable gallery for a brilliant career. He has starred in various hit films including Hairspray, Face/Off, The General's Daughter, and many more.

Their family was previously struck by tragedy in 2009 when son Jett died at 16 years old. "She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many," Travolta wrote on Instagram of Preston. "My family and I will forever be grateful to her doctors and nurses at MD Anderson Cancer Center, all the medical centers that have helped, as well as her many friends and loved ones who have been by her side. Kelly's love and life will always be remembered." Despite the attention, the $5 million dollar price tag proved to be too pricey for potential buyers during the pandemic.

(He tragically died at age 16 of a seizure in 2009.) They transformed the entire third floor into a “magical children’s space” with a princess room, an airplane room, a Peter Pan room, a schoolhouse, a library, a diner and a performing stage with props. Upstairs, the spacious master suite includes a private sunporch, a full bathroom with a clawfoot tub, and a separate shower. The 3-story, 8,000 square foot home has 6 bedrooms and 7 full bathrooms. If you want to live like John Travolta, then you should consider moving to Islesboro island in Maine. That's because, in February 2021, the actor put his massive mansion in the area up for sale for $5 million, according to the listing with Sotheby's International Realty. According to Velvet Ropes, Travolta and wife Kelly Preston purchased the property for a mere $3.5 million. In 2019, Forbes reported that he listed it for sale with the price tag of $10.5 million, but as of this writing, he still lives there. It's home to "the country's largest private lighted runway," per Forbes, and it has plenty of other bells and whistles.

The couple purchased the 30-room estate, on the north end of Islesboro Island, in the early 1990s, according to a spread about the vacation getaway in Architectural Digest. Of course, the most outstanding feature of the primary bedroom is the arched door to the outside sitting area. With its large door and massive glass construction, it appears to be built for the purpose of enjoying the unbeatable California sunsets. Across the doorway to the bedroom-porch and the large wood-framed window are heavy curtains that appear to be able to block out all traces of light.

"I'm sorry I never got to work with you on the film," Jackson lamented. The movie is an ensemble piece, but only some of the actors got to work together. However, Thurman, who went on to work with Tarantino again in the two Kill Bill movies, described it as "probably one of the most fun films I've ever gotten to do."

The pool area is imbued with 50’s-style elegance, accentuating the line drawn from the entrance to the back. This side of the house transitions from squared surfaces into a perfect semicircle, opening up to the pool. A selection of palm trees has been conveniently placed to provide shade and mood to the relaxation area. Even here the aviation-inspired design is present, look both left and right from the azure waters and you can find the jets parked right nearby, as transitional forms connecting lawns and interiors. The idea was to not differentiate between the home area and the airport area, and effectively, the planes can be accessed from under canopies, designed to shelter from the elements when boarding. The home, which sits on 48 acres of land, also features "20 bedrooms and 7.5 bathrooms," per the Daily Mail.

His Boeing 707 is the plane we know most about, and we know that the star fell in love with the aircraft many years ago, although it was waaay out of his price range at the time. Located in the heart of Florida’s Gold Coast, Jumbolair Aviation Estates is the most exclusive airpark in the state. With a total of just nine privately owned and operated aircraft, this airstrip is home to some of the world’s most impressive aircraft. From Gulfstream jets to vintage warbirds, visitors can explore Jumbolair Aviation Estates’ rich aviation history and enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding area from atop the runway. The airpark is also home to some of the wealthiest residents in the state of Florida, including John Travolta.

Wayfair Way Day: Here's what we know about the year's best furniture and home decor sale

By late 2021, it appeared Travolta had either quietly sold the property or removed the listing altogether. From marrying and closing on the house in September to hosting the family Christmas only a few months later, it was a “60-day marathon” of redecorating, Travolta told AD. They had heard about the area from Travolta’s actor pal Kirstie Alley, who apparently also had a vacation pad there at the time. They also owned real estate in Los Angeles, Hawaii, and Florida, according to AD. It would be incongruous if the man did not have a home that is also auspiciously “pointed” in terms of style, uniqueness, and price tag.

The famous couple was one of the first residents to buy within the fly-in community, which contains about 550 acres of lush Florida country in the small town of Anthony just north of Ocala. Front-to-back, ending in the pool area, and right-to-left, both extensions terminating at the jets’ parking spaces, joined at the back of the house by their runways. It is not completely symmetric; instead the design is unified by the planes themselves in the corners.

Travolta is one of the most iconic actors to have several notable performances in the big screens. As a result, the two time Oscar Award nominee can ultimately afford to live in a luxurious home like this one. According to Celebrity Net Worth, Travolta has a net worth of around $250 million. John Travolta mansion photos take you inside the home of a great actor.

No matter how much John loves his planes, though, his favorite area of the house is the backyard. Because the Pulp Fiction alum adored serenading his beloved wife — who died following a two-year battle with breast cancer at age 57 in July 2020 — on the dance floor, he made sure his patio had enough room for them to make memories at home. Spanning 10,830 square feet, the whimsical estate was transformed from the “spooky,” “dark” and “somber” historic house into the ultimate holiday space, a place to host their 55-member family, the couple told Architectural Digest in 1999. Now 67, “Grease” star Travolta and Preston, who died of cancer at age 57 in July, transformed the “spooky,” “dark” and “somber” historic house into the ultimate holiday space, a place to host their 55-member family, the couple told Architectural Digest in 1999. The actor John Travolta is selling his massive, oceanfront Maine mansion for $5 million. The star had owned the longtime retreat with his wife, the actress Kelly Preston, who died last year at the age of 57 of breast cancer.

In February of 2021, superstar actor John Travolta made international headlines when he listed his Islesboro, Maine, home for sale. The house was built in 1903 by Peabody and Stearns for Philadelphia banker and high-speed power boat engineer George W.C. Drexel, according to archives. There is also a small farmhouse on the property where the couple stayed while they were redoing the house. With chintzy flower-patterned wallpaper and eclectic plush sofas, the 22-bedroom mansion looks more like what you’d expect from your great-aunt than from the great John Travolta — but the whimsical, cozy home is nothing short of endearing. The land, partially in conservation with the Islesboro Island Trust, includes open fields with ocean views, walking paths through the woods down to the shoreline, a beach, open ocean access, and garden areas.

The hall also features various model airplanes displayed on a long wood cabinet. The design stage of this complex house (and air field) took over 6 years. The entire home is an invitation to enjoy the pleasures of flying and the life of a pilot, even if this pilot’s primary career has been on the silver screen. The house comes across as stunningly well designed, with no excesses in its architecture despite being a luxury home. The aviation-inspired design comes across as wholesome and functional; it is an invitation to others from the private aviation community to invest not only in their passion for flying, but in how to bring this passion into their everyday lives.

Within an hour, we can be on our way to Paris.'” Above the mantelpiece is a 1967 work by Alexander Calder. John Travolta is a certified private pilot who owns five aircraft, so it’s only fitting that the 60-year-old actor’s Florida home has two runways that lead directly to his front door. When it comes to those who are both wealthy and well-known, some stars have modest homes while others opt to live in remote locations. There are also celebrities with residences that have strange stories behind them (we're looking at you, Ellen DeGeneres). Needless to say, there are also famous figures with incredible and enviable abodes, like Kylie Jenner, Jennifer Lopez, and Grease star John Travolta who can definitely impress others with his real estate.

Most known for his phenomenal roles in incredibly successful films, including Pulp Fiction, Saturday Night Fever, Grease, Hairspray, and From Paris With Love, John Travolta is one of the most recognizable actors in the world. He rose to fame in the mid-70’s and soon found his love for real estate and airplanes! The home has a living room with a fireplace and a custom-built bar, a dining room with an original rustic fieldstone fireplace, a chef’s kitchen with a walk-in refrigerator, an office and a laundry room. The owner’s suite has its own sun porch, a full bathroom with a claw-foot tub and separate shower, according to the listing. Children and family were top of mind in the design — Preston was pregnant with their first child, Jett, at the time.

Meanwhile, the two-time Oscar nominee sold one of his mansions in Clearwater, Florida for $4 million in August 2021. Preston’s unique flair is seen throughout the home, which makes it easy to see why the “Pulp Fiction” star would sell the home following her death after nearly three decades of marriage. The gated home, known as the Drexel Estate, has a square tower with a steep pitched roof. It is unique in its juxtaposition of the Tudor and shingle styles, according to the National Register of Historic Places. Nearly two years trying, John Travolta is having a tough time selling his 20-bedroom, eight-bathroom mansion in Maine.

It was nominated for seven Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Director for Tarantino, Best Actor for Travolta, Best Supporting Actor for Jackson, and Best Supporting Actress for Thurman. The movie, shown in 35mm, played to a packed house at the iconic TCL Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard. Pulp Fiction's writer and director, Quentin Tarantino, was noticeably absent when key cast and crew gathered on the opening night of the 2024 TCM Classic Film Festival to celebrate the film's 30th anniversary.

I see a lot of negative reviews about AMB. And I was really nervous because I already placed my order. Family owned business--Mike was awesome!!! I don't understand why there are so many bad reviews of this company. I ordered my table set from them and their customer service was excellent and the product I receive is beautiful and sturdy! Very happy with my purchase and I am glad that I gave this company a chance despite all the negative reviews.

We have a small showroom with clearance items as well as some new featured items to view. When I rang to check on the order they were very honest and said that unfortunately they had found that the sofa I had chosen was slightly damaged and would I like a (more expensive) alternative. It was similar but not entirely to my tastes so I declined their offer and they instantly processed a full refund. If I had one recommendation for them they should send a confirmation email once the order has been placed, rather than me calling to check, but apart from that they were great.
